The Commercial Lighting of the Future is Here Today
Our Nebula LED Commercial High Bay / Low Bay lighting is a combination of cutting edge electrical engineering and a deep respect for the Environment. Several years ago, we studied the overall LED lighting market, looking for a segment of the market where we felt we could make the most impact. We found that the commercial lighting market is still relying on decades old technology which is extremely inefficient. A single Metal-Halide lighting fixture, the most common warehouse fixture, uses 400 watts of electricity, radiates searing heat and wastes most of the light it produces. When we multiplied that by the average amount of lights in a medium sized warehouse (100), they use 40,000 watts or 40 kilowatt hours, every hour of every day. At 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, that's approximately 8 million watts (8000 kwh) of electricity per month, nearly 100 million watts per year (96,000 kwh) and that's just 1 medium sized warehouse operating 10 hours a day, 5 days a week.
The Nebula LED High Bay and Low Bay warehouse lighting solves these problems by consuming just 107 watts per fixture for the High Bay and 57 - 87 watts per fixture for the Low Bay. Nebula LED High Bay / Low Bay lighting is a purpose built LED fixture, NOT a retro-fit of an existing low efficiency fixture. Our 107 watt High Bay fixture uses less than 27% of the power that a 400 watt metal - halide fixture uses, a 73 % reduction in energy consumption, or an energy savings of 69,000 kilowatt hours per year using the example above. LED fixtures radiate significantly less heat than metal - halide fixtures. An LED lasts 50,000 hours or more, where a metal - halide lasts 10,000 to 20,000 hours, meaning virtually maintenance free LED lighting for nearly 20 years, using the same 10 hour day, 5 day week example as above. LED lighting produces no infrared or ultraviolet rays which can irritate employees eyes and react with certain rubbers and plastics.
All metal - halide and fluorescent light bulbs contain mercury and must be recycled properly, with documentation, in compliance with environmental laws.
Led lighting contains NO mercury.
All Nebula LED products are RoHS ( Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances ) compliant.
